Greetings!

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Alpha Alpha Zeta Omega chapter welcomes you to our website!  Chartered on June 9, 2018, Alpha Alpha Zeta Omega became the first four (Greek) letter chapter in the state of MS and the 108th chapter in the South Eastern Region.  It is my distinct honor and pleasure to bring you greetings on behalf of the talented and dedicated women who have made Alpha Alpha Zeta Omega their chapter of choice. We are a select group of women representing a wide range of accomplishments, careers, resources, expertise and interests boasting members serving Alpha Kappa Alpha on the local and regional levels. We stand proud to serve DeSoto County and surrounding communities.

Our chapter, in just almost three (3) years of existence has become a staple in DeSoto County and bordering communities through community service projects that align with the vision of our International President, Dr. Glenda Glover. Under her leadership, we embrace her administration’s program of service, Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood. Program activities, including HBCU College Fairs, a breast cancer awareness 5k, money matters workshops, cultural connection events and pillowcase projects supporting the local refugee empowerment program have benefitted our local community and beyond as our chapter is committed to making an impact locally and globally.

Serious about Sisterhood and Supreme in Service is the platform upon which we will continue to build and grow, offering service to all mankind even through the global pandemic in which we now live and operate. We are proud of the efforts our sorority is doing to help reduce the impact of the pandemic as we mask up and operate virtually. Despite the pandemic, we have much to celebrate with the inauguration of a fellow Alpha Kappa Alpha woman assuming the position of the Office of Vice President of the United States of America and the many chapter sponsored events we continue to provide to the community!

We invite you to visit our site often and explore our Events and News page to learn more about the community service programs and upcoming events of the chapter as well as follow us online on Facebook and Instagram.

In Sisterhood & Service,

Tamala Boyd Shaw, Ed.D.
President, 2021-2023
